Former NFL Player and GMA Host Michael Strahan Celebrates Son's Birthday with Cute Photos
Former NFL player Michael Strahan, who has been hosting “Good Morning America” for several years, shared on Instagram a touching birthday tribute for his son.
Michael, who has four children, has never been shy when it comes to showing love to his family on social media. On September 12, his only son, Michael Jr., turned 24, and his father uploaded a post to honor the milestone.
“You make me proud every single day.”
Honoring his son’s birthday
The first image of the slideshow portrayed the former NFL player wearing black pants and a white shirt helping his son with a bowtie. Both of them were flashing their smiles at the mirror in front of them.
For the second photo, the father-and-son duo was wearing more relaxed outfits while side-hugging each other and smiling at the camera. Both pics portray the uncanny resemblance between the two.
In the caption, the proud dad wished Michael Jr. a happy birthday, adding: “You make me proud every single day, and it's an HONOR to be your father. Looking forward to celebrating with YOU. Love You MJ!”
Digging into his family
Michael Jr. is the second child of the “GMA” host and his first ex-wife Wanda Hutchins. The ex-couple was married from 1992 to 1996 and, apart from Michael Jr., they had Tanita, born in 1992.
The former NFL player married Jean Muggli in 1999. Together, they had twin daughters Isabella and Sophia, born in 2004, who made headlines recently after they tried to “kick” their father out of a picture.
Posing next to Zion Williamson
In July this year, Michael and his twin daughters went to the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards held in Santa Monica, California. Michael was the host, so the girls were there to support him.
As expected, many athletes were present, including Rob Gronkowski, Ben Simmons, Trae Young, and Laurie Hernandez, who got slimed onstage next to Michael.
NBA promise Zion Williamson was also at the event, and Michael and his daughters asked for a photo. As the “GMA” host admitted in the caption, Isabella and Sophia wanted to “kick him out.” He didn’t let them, though.
At the event, NBA star Stephen Curry took home the Best Male Athlete award, professional soccer player Alex Morgan won the Best Female Athlete award, and professional tennis player Serena Williams won the Favorite Tennis Player award.
