Rapper Ice-T Defends Wife Coco after She Got Slammed for Still Breastfeeding Chanel Who's Nearly 4

Ice-T is defending his wife Coco Austin after she received a lot of criticism for choosing to continue breastfeeding their daughter Chanel Nicole, who turns four in November.

In an attempt to “normalize breastfeeding,” Coco recently shared photos of herself nursing Chanel, but the reactions were mostly negative.

TMZ caught up with Coco’s husband Ice on Wednesday, and the rapper/actor came to his wife’s defense again, saying:

“They make it like the baby only. …breastfeeds. Every once in a while, you know what I’m saying, she wants to get close to her mom, that’s what they do. She eats food, she eats [expletive] cheeseburgers.”

Besides recounting her breastfeeding journey in the controversial post, Coco had also mentioned that the act was “more of a comfort thing now” for Chanel.

Ice-T previously spoke up for his wife after a similar situation came about last year

“Of course she eats regular but nap time and night time are our time, and I'm lucky she hasn't grown out it yet because when that moment comes, I will be so sad,” the glamour model added.

Earlier in the post, Coco, 40, revealed that nursing, for her, was not always easy, and it took encouragement from her family who told her to hang on.

“They told me I don’t want to miss this special moment you have with your child, health-wise and bond wise,” she continued. “I hung in there, and now almost 4 years later, Chanel still wants the boob.”

Despite the backlash, Coco has always been open about her decision to continue breastfeeding Chanel as long as the little girl wants. She also continues to use her platform to promote the benefits of breastfeeding.

Ice-T previously spoke up for his wife after a similar situation occurred last year. Coco had come under fire for breastfeeding their daughter and the “Law & Order: SVU” star was forced to explain that Chanel only “wants the boob sometimes” to calm her down.

“When people say, 'Oh, Coco’s still breastfeeding.' It’s not that,” Ice added. "Chanel’s drinking everything in the refrigerator right now."

Meanwhile, Coco herself couldn’t be less bothered. The former video vixen has an entire InstaStory category dedicated to nursing moments, and when she’s not breastfeeding Chanel, the two can be found twinning in one adorable outfit after another.
