'Crikey! It's the Irwins' Star Bindi Irwin Reveals More Details about Her Engagement to Chandler Powell on GMA

Bindi Irwin shared behind the scenes moments during Chandler Powell's proposal over two months ago: "All of a sudden Robert bursts through the bushes."

Bindi Irwin recently revealed details of her engagement on "Good Morning America," where her mom Terri, brother Robert, and fiance Chandler Powell, joined her in New York City.

The 21-year-old described the moment Powell asked to marry her as the "most beautiful and the most terrifying moment" of her life.

Powell had planned the entire thing well and was in connivance with Robert to hide by the bushes and photograph the moment, while Irwin had no clue that the moment was being documented. She said:

"So I'm there crying, hugging Chandler and all of a sudden Robert bursts through the bushes and I'm like a fainting goat, I just died. So it was the most beautiful and most terrifying moment of my life."

THE ENGAGEMENT

Powell proposed to the conservationist on her 21st birthday last July after years of being together. It wasn't long after until the news surfaced the internet along with photos from the bride-to-be. Powell also took to Twitter the announcement:

"She said YES! Almost 6 years ago we met at Australia Zoo. I immediately fell head over heels for your kind and thoughtful heart that radiates so much light. I love you more than anything in this world and I always will. Forever together sounds perfect."

Apart from the designer dress, the couple agreed to incorporate khaki to their wedding.

The former wakeboarder recalled the fateful day he met the late Steve Irwin's daughter, who was giving tours as he was in Australia to compete. He instantly described her as "amazing" upon first glance.

After the two got together, Powell decided to leave his Florida home and move in with the Irwins in Australia, where they continue the legacy of their crocodile hunter father.

LONG WHITE GOWN

Just recently, Irwin finally decided on a wedding gown and shared a glimpse of the dress on Instagram with the caption: "I said yes to the dress."

Although only a portion of the long-sleeved lace dress was seen in the photo, which included Irwin's two-carat engagement ring, fans were able to guess the bridal store behind it.

The gown in the photo looked to be one of Sarah Nouri's Fall 2019 collection. The $6,000 dress features laced sleeves, a laced V-neck, and a silk taffeta belt design.

The first full sight of the dress will be seen on Irwin and Powell's wedding day next year, where her brother Robert will fill in her late father's place and will walk her down the aisle.

A TOUCH OF KHAKI

Apart from the designer dress, the couple agreed to incorporate khaki to their wedding. Powell was sure of this as he told Us Weekly: "We are definitely going to incorporate khaki." Irwin also said:

"People keep asking if I'm going to wear a khaki wedding dress. I'm not sure. I'm not sure whether I'm going to take it to that extreme. Maybe some subtle hints of khaki."

However, since the bride-to-be already chose a dress, there's a slim chance of having a touch of khaki added. But then again, she can take everyone by surprise in 2020.
