Underwood posted a selfie of their date with "amazing food and even more amazing company and conversation," at a luxurious restaurant in New York City.

The couple first met during one of her concert's meet-and-greet then had a long-distance relationship for months before getting together. In 2010, they decided to get married at the Ritz-Carlton resort on Lake Oconee, Georgia.

Underwood and Fisher celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary last July, which to them only felt like a very short time, but time flies when you're in love.

It wasn't until five years later that they had their first son, Isaiah, followed by another son, Jacob, earlier this year. In between the years where her sons were born, the mom-of-two revealed she suffered three miscarriages.

She first conceived a child in the first half of 2017 but ended in a miscarriage. The same thing happened in the spring of that year, and again in 2018.

Underwood shared of her husband's presence at that time:

"He is so levelheaded about everything, and when I was dealing with everything, not just emotionally but hormonally, when you're going on that roller coaster of pregnant, not pregnant, pregnant, not pregnant, I was probably not very easy to love."
