Kelly Ripa's Husband Mark Consuelos Jokingly Reveals Their Secret to Looking Good
Kelly Ripa's husband of 23 years joked about getting the blood of 14-year-olds' to maintain their good looks and appear younger.
Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, are both in their 40s, but they appear younger than their years, and the latter revealed why while appearing on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live!"
IT'S ALL ABOUT BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS
During the question and answer segment, a fan, Joey from Delaware, asked the actor what the secret to his young and good looks with Ripa was, and he jokingly responded:
"Yeah, we have blood transfusions of 14-year-olds' to look young."
He continued after Cohen asked, "You do?"
"No, we are smaller people, so our hearts don't have to work as much, getting blood up and down."
Consuelos and Ripa have often had to explain the secret behind their good looks, and on "Live with Kelly and Ryan," the former actress turned TV host revealed that she's biologically younger than her 49 years.
RIPA IS BIOLOGICALLY 35
The mom-of-three told her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, that she recently went to her doctor to undergo epigenetic testing, and asides from learning about her body, and blood content:
"I'm 49-year-old in age; chronological age, but my biological age is 35."
While a lot of people would be pleased with that number, Ripa added jokingly:
"I was like 'Is that all?' because I would say it's much younger."

In September, the TV personality described Consuelos' good looks as an outrage, adding she'll need surgery to have what she called her husband's "Shredded and glistering," looks. Despite those words, the "Riverdale" star loves Ripa just the way she is.
WITHOUT RIPA, CONSUELOS WOULD BE THREE TIMES DIVORCED
For his wife's recent 49th birthday, the actor wrote a touching tribute to her on Instagram. He wrote:
"Happy birthday, my fave. I'm really glad that you were born. Because let's face it, if you weren't, I would have been married three or four times by now."
The two met on the set of "All My Family," and married in '96. Their 23-year marriage produced three children; sons, Michael, and Joaquin, and daughter Lola, who started college this Fall at NYC.
Consuelos revealed in an interview that he checks on Lola frequently, leading the 18-year-old college freshman to conclude he's obsessed with her. He said:
"I check in so much, my daughter thinks I'm obsessed with her."
Ripa and her husband passed down their good genes to their children, but beyond genetics, the couple exercise, and eat right.
