Tika Sumpter of 'Mixed-Ish' Shares Adorable Photo of Daughter Ella and Touching Birthday Message
If you follow actress Tika Sumpter’s life via social media, then you already know that she’s selective with what she shares with fans. So, when the actress posted a picture of her daughter Ellen-Lora on Instagram, fans were shocked.
But after reading the sweet caption, they quickly took to the comment section to drop their compliments and wishes. As it turns out, Ellen-Loren turned three on October 8 and to celebrate; Tika posted a picture of the tot enjoying her day in a bathrobe and slippers with the caption:
“I’m the luckiest mommy Ella. Happy Bday. It was yesterday, but you got the week to celebrate. I love you, little Libra.”
Although the post was shared a day after Ellen’s actual birthday, fans have liked it over 50,000 times, and even Tamar Braxton stated that it was a “yummy” post.
Tika welcomed little Ellen back in 2016 just after she began dating her current partner and fiancé, Nicholas James. PEOPLE disclosed that the mother-of-one first hinted at the arrival of her first child on Twitter by sharing:
“Dear Moms, dads, and caretakers, I’m slow clapping for each and every one of you. It ain’t no joke.”
According to her, she went that route because she was a “protective mama bear,” and she knew just how vicious social media could be.

The actress still needs help, which she has found after landing the role of Rainbow’s mom in ABC’s “Mixed-ish.” As the report claims, her new role helps her “discuss race in America” with Ellen-Loren.
EURWEB narrates that trolls dragged her when the news that Nick was white surfaced online. Not one to stand by and let her partner get insulted, Tika defended her man and told haters not to “come after my dude like that.”
Luckily, the trolling didn’t stop the couple from enjoying their time together and eventually getting engaged in 2017.
