Freeform's '25 Days of Christmas:' All the Movies That the Network Has Lined up for the Holidays
The Christmas season has just gotten more exciting with a great line up of movies for Freeform channel’s “25 Days of Christmas.”
It has been an annual tradition for the channel to air the best holiday-themed and uplifting movies 25 days in a row throughout the month of December. The treat starts with the “Kickoff to Christmas” special throughout November.
For 30 days in November, just before homes go all-out with the Christmas festivities, children and adults alike will get to enjoy a wide array of movies.
These movies include: “Paddington,” “Rise of the Guardians,” and several Disney movies, including “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Zootopia,” “Hercules,” “Moana,” “Finding Nemo,” “Finding Dory,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pocahontas,” and “Toy Story.”
HEARTWARMING MOVIES
This year’s “25 Days of Christmas” programming is expected to start at 7 a.m. ET on Sunday, December 1 and end after the 12 a.m. film ends on Thursday, December 26, as reported by Good Housekeeping.
About nine films will play each day to warm the hearts of TV viewers, especially on cold Christmas days and nights.
The full lineup of the films has not been unveiled yet. But according to Broadway World, the lineup will include “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Frosty the Snowman.”
This is the first time ever the two iconic films will be shown on cable TV. Other Christmas favorites to be shown are “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” and “The Little Drummer Boy.”
HOLIDAY-THEMED COMPETITION SHOW
The network also announced that they will premier a new holiday competition series called “Wrap Battle,” which will see contestants outdoing each other with creative gift-wrapping.
Premiering on Monday, November 25 at 9pm/8c, the series will follow nine contestants as they compete to become the ultimate wrapper.
To serve as judges are Sheryl Underwood (The Talk), Carson Kressley (RuPaul’s Drag Race, Get A Room with Carson and Thom) and Wanda Wen (founder of Soolip).
Serving as celebrity guest judges are award-winning Broadway producer Candy Spelling, Sandra Lee, Lala Kent, designer Sabrina Soto, and Freeform's very own Sherry Cola from Good Trouble and Diggy Simmons.
In last year’s “25 Days of Christmas,” the network kicked off the first week with “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure,” “Charley’s Brown Christmas,” and “Toy Story”, among others.
