Many TV viewers remember Camille as Nessa, the stubborn teenager who was Bernie Mac's niece in the late comedian's eponymous sitcom. But it's been over a decade since the show stopped airing.

Today, Camille is a 29-year-old woman who spent last week celebrating Thanksgiving with her mother, Alice Winbush. The actress shared a photo from the day to her 100,000-plus Instagram followers.

Although Bernie, unfortunately, passed away in 2008, Camille and other cast members of the iconic show came together for a reunion

"Mommy & Me, after a long day in the kitchen," Camille captioned the adorable shot of both women smiling. "Happy Thanksgiving, y'all. Goodnight."

Several fans in the comment section wished the actress a happy Thanksgiving as well, but most seemed to find it difficult to believe she's all grown up.

"It’s crazy how you've grown up," one Instagram user said, recalling a meeting with Camille many years ago. "I met u in a (sic) old navy store next to the Beverly Center when u was (sic) just a little girl with ur moms. Kinda crazy how ur (sic) so grown.”

"We love you, nesssaaaaaa," gushed another fan referencing Camille's most memorable character to date.

Camille made her big entrance into the spotlight in 2001 when the "Bernie Mac Show" premiered. She played Vanessa "Nessa" Thomkins, the eldest of three siblings who had to live with their uncle (Bernie) after their mom went into rehab.

According to MadameNoire, Camille was 11 when that comedy sitcom premiered in 2001, and by the time it went off the air in 2006, the NAACP Image Award winner was 16.

The California native kind of went off-grid for some time but emerged recently with roles in shows like "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," the 2018 film "Everything But a Man," and Issa Rae's web series "The Choir."

While "Bernie Mac Show" was Camille's big break, she had been acting since age four when she played Lucy Wilkes on the action/adventure TV series "Viper."

That was in 1994, and a year later, Camille appeared in two TV series and the hit film, "Dangerous Minds." Over the years, she would appear in at least ten sitcoms and movies before scoring big with Bernie Mac.

Although Bernie, unfortunately, passed away in 2008, Camille and other cast members of the iconic show came together for a reunion last year.

Kellita Smith, who played Wanda, Jeremy Suarez, who played Nessa's younger brother Jordan, and Dee Dee Davis, the last child fondly called Baby Girl, all had fans feeling nostalgic when they posed for photos with Camille.

The reaction to that long-awaited reunion proved that, no matter how old Camille gets, she'll always be the sassy Nessa to many people across the world.
