Miley Cyrus Gets New 'Freedom' Tattoo Amid Divorce from Actor Liam Hemsworth

According to a post by celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Winter, aka Winter Stone, singer Miley Cyrus just got inked again over the weekend. This time, one of the tattoos featured on the back of her hand.

Cyrus, 27, got two new tattoos amid her ongoing divorce from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. Winter, took to Instagram to share some pictures of the new tattoos.

One of the images revealed on Saturday showed that the musician had gotten the word “Freedom” tattooed across her hand. The new ink sits just below her knuckles on her right hand.

CYRUS GETS “FREEDOM” TATTOO

Winter shared in his caption that the tattoo was one using a single needle. The ink is quite ironic due to her current divorce proceedings and the fact that she sings about freedom on the song “Mother’s Daughter.”

On Sunday, the tattoo artist shared an image of Cyrus’s second artwork. The ink was a sentimental note the musician received from Yoko Ono.

“I’M PROUD OF U, YOKO”

The tattoo, which was done in Ono’s handwriting and featured on Cyrus’s left shoulder read: “I’m proud of U, Yoko.” In 2018, the “Party in the U.S.A.” singer and actress covered Ono and John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over).”

She did the cover with Mark Ronson and the couple’s son, Sean Ono Lennon.

CYRUS’S DIVORCE FROM HEMSWORTH

The star’s new artwork comes after Hemsworth filed for divorce from Cyrus in August. A representative for the musician released a statement at the time saying:

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

WHO SHE IS SAID TO BE DATING

Cyrus and Hemsworth have had an on-again, off-again relationship for about a decade now. As her break-up became public news, the star was said to be dating reality star, Kaitlynn Carter.

She and Carter have since allegedly broken up and Cyrus has been linked to Australian singer Cody Simpson.
