Jenna Bush Hager, the co-host of "Today with Hoda & Jenna" spoke out in defense of Meghan Markle after the Duchess was trolled on social media following the release of paparazzi pictures of her and baby Archie.
Meghan Markle continues to dominate the news headlines lately, following the announcement that she and Harry would be stepping down on their roles as senior members of the Royal Family.

Most critics called out Meghan for what they felt was the wrong use of the baby carrier, with many raising concerns over Archie, although baby experts saw nothing wrong with the way Archie was placed.
Discussing the issue with her "Today" co-host, Hoda Kotb, Jenna Bush expressed her irritation at the criticisms coming Meghan's way. She said:
"I will say the one thing I noticed that irritated me was that there was a lot of mom-shaming around it – like tons of people piled on it."
Continuing, Jenna said that the criticisms brought up a lot of things and reminded her of the times she was also mom-shamed, particularly that which happened a month ago when she went to Vietnam.
Jenna traveled to Vietnam along with former FLOTUS, Michelle Obama, to create awareness about girls' education. Going for that trip meant that she left her three kids, including her baby son, Hal, at home.
Jenna and Hal enjoyed a mom-son moment, with the cute baby smiling happily as his mom kissed his cheek.
According to Jenna, some people came for her on her social media page, although the former first child mentioned that she didn’t reply to anyone of them because she was tired.
Jenna added that mothers were constantly questioning themselves daily, but that they should instead, lift one another up. Hoda Kotb also narrated her own experience with mom-shaming critics.
She recalled going with Joel to the Rose Bowl, and after reading a comment about how they had left their kids at home. She added:
"I remember I read it, and it struck me. It's like "Oh, great. Another day away from your kids.""
Hoda said that her reaction to the criticism was to say that she didn’t love it, before adding that everyone should be given a little break.
Jenna also added that fathers like her husband and Hoda's husband never had to deal with the scrutiny mothers faced and that such mom-shaming needed to become a thing of the past.
Jenna Bush didn’t spend the whole day speaking about mom-shaming, as she also posted four adorable photos of herself and her baby son, Hal.
The photos, which were a mixture of black-and-white, and colored images were taken by "Today" photographer, Nathan Congleton, who is also known as "Photo Nate."
In the pictures, Jenna and Hal enjoyed a mom-son moment, with the cute baby smiling happily as his mom kissed his cheek, and threw him up in her arms.
In Jenna's caption to the post, she said, "I'm in Love with my little man," before adding that she woke up early just to watch Hal sleep, and still couldn’t believe that he is hers.
