"House of Payne" was a TBS fan-favorite for six years, so it's not surprising that a lot of people want to see it return to their TV screens. China's recent social media video appears to prove that fans are in for an exciting time.

The 21-year-old singer/actress took to Instagram hours ago with a clip of her and her father, Michael McClain, strolling down a walkway. "So, I'm on set right now," she announced. "Can y'all guess what I'm doing?"

Curtis Payne is the family patriarch who is blunt with his opinions. He loves his wife and family but would prefer not to deal with them.

"Don't tell them where you are," Michael joked as China giggled. While several fans came up with guesses on what the actress was working on, one response from a fan page caught the most attention.

The new season of "House of Payne" will reportedly air on BET with a storyline that picks up five years after the conclusion of the original series. The sitcom originally aired on TBS from 2006 to 2012 and birthed a spinoff that ran for two seasons on OWN.

The show's original stars, LaVan Davis, Cassi Davis Patton, Lance Gross, Demetria McKinney, China, Larramie "Doc" Shaw, Keshia Knight Pulliam, and Allen Payne, will all be returning for the scheduled revival.

"

" follows the lives of retired fire Chief Curtis Payne (Davis) and his amiable wife Ella (Davis Patton) as they navigate life's challenges with their eccentric, modern-day family.

Curtis Payne is the family patriarch who is blunt with his opinions. He loves his wife and family but would prefer not to deal with them. Ella Payne, on the other hand, is the loving matriarch who knows how to keep everybody in line.

Gross portrays Calvin Payne, Curtis and Ella's only child who has a family of his own. Calvin's wife, Miranda (Knight Pulliam), is the mother of their son, Christian, and stepmom to Calvin Jr.

Payne and McKinney portray married couple CJ and Janine, respectively. They have four children – Malik (Shaw), Jazmine (China), and twins Jayden and Hayden. Sarcastic Jazmine has her father's heart and is usually mischievous about getting her way.

According to Deadline, "House of Payne" is currently in production at the Tyler Perry Studios in Georgia. The sitcom revival, alongside another Perry-produced series, is set to premiere this summer on BET.
