Robin Roberts from GMA Remembers Her Late Mom on Her Birthday with Touching Photos & a Sweet Tribute

Robin Roberts shares a touching tribute on Instagram for her late mom as she celebrates her 96th birthday in heaven.

Robin Roberts looks back at her time spent with her beautiful mom, Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts, right on time for her birthday. She would have been 96.

REMEMBERING HER MOM

She began her tribute by talking about the pictures she posted, which was exactly 8 years ago when she was 88-years-old. A couple of months later, she passed away and those were the last few photos of them together.

"Comforting to be with my sisters today as we celebrate momma's 96th heavenly birthday. We know our dear brother in Houston is thinking of her too today."

HER MOM'S IMPACT

The Robert siblings have each other to lean on as they remember their mom, and it's given them some time to reminisce about how she's impacted their lives.

"Every day we are grateful for momma's unconditional love & compassion and for her pearls of wisdom she shared with us and many others. Thank you, bless you, love you momma."

FAMILY OVER EVERYTHING

In 2012, Robins left the "Good Morning America" set early to be with her mom in Mississippi, making it in time to spend some more moments together.

It hasn't been easy for Robin in the past couple of weeks, as her long-time girlfriend Amber Laign also had to deal with the loss of a parent recently.

BEING THERE DURING DIFFICULT TIMES

Amber's parents have always been supportive of Robin and Amber, and their openness has made it easier for Robin to get along with their family. Now that Mr. Laign is no longer with the family, Amber and Robin are mourning the loss of their father, one that has always been supportive, loving, and caring to both of them.

The same way Robin took an early leave from the "Good Morning America" set during the time her mom was ill, she did the same to comfort Amber when her dad passed away.

Through it all, it's the comfort of staying together as a family that's gotten through difficult times, and it's what continues to unite them in moments such as these.
