People: Pamela Anderson Was on Ayurvedic Cleanse in India before 12-Day Marriage to Jon Peters
Pamela Anderson's marriage with Jon Peters ended before it could fully begin, and a cleansing trip to India might be responsible, according to new reports.
When Pamela Anderson and the movie producer, Jon Peters, decided to get married, they kept it under wraps. Only a handful of their family members knew about it, so it seemed it had the making of a lasting marriage.
Things didn't turn out that way, as the two chose to end things after 12 days. The decision led to the question: why did the two get married in the first place? and People has the answer.

STARTING FRESH
A source close to Anderson told the news outlet that the actress had just returned from a trip to India when she chose to try for husband number five. She had spent,
"Several weeks on an Ayurvedic cleanse to start the new decade fresh."
The source added that it's understandable that the cleansing experience made the "Baywatch" star believe starting new meant getting hitched. She thought accepting a proposal from Peters was the right thing to do.

While he waited, the former couple both got married four times, and have five children between them.
The latter includes deciding what Anderson and Peters want from life, and it's not each other. Also, the two had yet to formalize their marriage certificate.
