Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson's Son Colin Shares Update after Parents Test Positive for Coronavirus

Tom Hanks' son, Colin, shared an update on his father's health following the announcement that the former had tested positive for coronavirus.

Amid the outpour of love for Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, the former's son, Colin, has opened up with an update of his parent's condition.

According to CBS News, Colin had shared a tweet that appreciated concerns from people, saying:

"We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from everyone. My parents are receiving excellent care in Australia and are doing well..."

The 42-year-old noted that although he hadn't seen either party in over three weeks, he was in "constant contact" with them. He then ended the post by writing that he was confident that the couple would make a full recovery.

Colin established his career as an actor who landed roles in "Dexter," "Fargo," and "Get Over It."

Tom had also shared an update via his Instagram page with a picture of him and Rita rocking baseball caps and smiling as he explained that they were taking it one-day-at-a-time.

The "Cast Away" star reminded his fans that there are things that they could do to get through the current epidemic.

It was reported by Closer Weekly that Tom had broken the news of him and Rita contracting the coronavirus with an Instagram picture that showed a disposable glove thrown into the bin.

Hours after his post, his other son, Chet, had shared a video where he confirmed that his parents had gotten the virus during their time in Australia.

Meanwhile, Closer Weekly revealed that Tom had two other children, Truman and Elizabeth Ann. While he shares Chet and Truman with Rita, Colin and Elizabeth Ann were born during his relationship with Samantha Lewes, who died in 2002.

All four children managed to go into entertainment in one way or the other as Truman reportedly works as an intern at a production company and Chet had guest-starred on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Shameless," before he landed a recurring role on "Empire."

As for Elizabeth Ann, Closer Weekly shared that she is a writer who has worked as a Vanity Fair staffer and a HuffPost associate news editor.

Colin established his career as an actor who landed roles in "Dexter," "Fargo," and "Get Over It."
