Speaking on his situation, Tom gave both good and bad news. While his good news focused on how he was faring despite episodes of tiredness, his bad news was that:
"My wife @ritawilson has won 6 straight hands of Gin Rummy and leads by 201 points. But I have learned not to spread my Vegemite so thick."
The actor who was previously mocked by friends and colleagues for the way he spread the Vegemite on his bread slices has acknowledged that it was one of the things he has learned to do well in this period of isolation.
Tom posted a picture of a typewriter he traveled with, which ironically is a "Corona" make. And although one is not sure if he no longer likes the typewriter as he stated that he used to love it.
Tom and Rita are doing well amidst all the struggle.
In the concluding part of his caption, the "Bridge of Spies" actor added that everyone in the world was in this together and urged that the curve be flattened.
The comments section was filled with love and concern for Tom and his wife. Some expressed that the whole world was indeed in this together as the outbreak was causing increased panic day in day out. Someone said:
"Love this Corona Typewriter, so soft! All the best, Hanks! Take care of yourself."
While some expressed that there was more to the number "201" Tom talked about, others expressed that it is most likely a coincidence that Rita is leading with such points.
Sharing about their situation on Instagram, Tom assured his fans and followers that he and his wife were going to follow the necessary procedures such that they do not pose a threat to the health of those in public.
With the coronavirus pandemic reaching increasingly alarming numbers, it is good to know that Tom and Rita are doing well amidst all the struggle to contain the spread of the virus.
