Hallmark Channel Includes Christmas Movies in Their Schedule during Coronavirus Lockdown
While the Coronavirus lockdown is still ongoing, Hallmark Channel has decided to keep people entertained by including their Christmas movies in the schedule for the weekend.
What many assumed was just a severe case of the flu has now turned into a worldwide pandemic, causing people to distance themselves socially and stay isolated.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, schools, offices, and large gatherings have been prohibited, and people are being advised to self-isolate.
Knowing how frustrating it can be to be indoors all day long, having few human interactions, Hallmark Channel has decided to help make the lockdown period a more interesting one by including Christmas movies in their schedule.
As seen on their website, the channel has promised to air over 27 Christmas movies starting from noon on Friday through to 6 pm on Sunday before going back to their regular airings.
The movies, which include some of Hallmark's best Christmas movies is being aired to help people feel better during this period.
Some of the scheduled movies include: "Christmas Under Wraps," "Crown for Christmas," Christmas at Dollywood," among others.
The movies will feature some of Hallmark's finest actors and actresses, namely but not limited to, the following: Cameron Bure, David O' Donnell, Kimberly Sustad, Jill Wagner, among others.
The weekend marathon comes as a response to the pleas of fans who asked that the channel does something to keep them happy and excited throughout their stay at home.
He also apologized because the other members of his group were quarantined in different countries.
Hallmark's "In the Key of Love," starring Laura Osnes and Scott Michael Foster, will air as planned on Saturday, March 21, as well as "Spring Fling," which happens to be the network's special.
The network will also air its 2020 Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Preview sample, which happens to be a sneak peek at upcoming Hallmark Mystery Movie franchises — co-hosted by Danica McKellar and Victor Webster.
Following this movie marathon, the network will go back to airing its usual series, such as "Golden Girls" and "Fraiser."
Hallmark is not the only one seeking to keep people entertained during this coronavirus lockdown. Other celebrities have stated that they will try to keep fans entertained by performing from home.
One such is Keith Urban, who, with the help of his wife, Nicole Kidman, surprised fans with a live stream concert performance from their basement.

Similarly, Chris Martin, of the band Coldplay, also had an intimate live-streamed concert. He also apologized because the other members of his group were quarantined in different countries and could not join him for the performance.
EGOT winning singing sensation, John Legend, also tweeted that he would be doing a live performance from his home. Teasingly, his wife Chrissy said she would try to make an appearance as she literally had no choice.
