Stephanie Mills Turned 67 and Shared Photos & Note She Received from a Friend on Her Birthday

Stephanie Mills recently celebrated her 67th birthday and thanked her friend for a sweet greeting that showered the singer with praises.

Despite celebrating her birthday amid a deadly pandemic, Stephanie Mills was still all smiles, thanks to the sweet birthday greeting she received.

MILLS TURNS 67

The singer shared a birthday tribute her manager turned friend, Amp Harris gave, which mentioned the adventures they had together, including traveling, sharing stories, and managing a business. It read:

“She me be small in size, but her heart, her kindness, her laughter and funny, crazy, coolness did I mention she don’t take Nooooooo mess and will cut you like #DellaReese once said.”

The letter ended with Mills’ friend thanking her for being the person she is and sharing years of a beautiful friendship.

Mills’ post included a big thank you to her friend, along with a series of photos together with Harris and their entire team.

It is without a doubt that the entertainer experienced challenges and difficulties in raising her son, yet he has fulfilled her life in many ways.

MILLS’ CAREER THROUGH THE YEARS

The award-winning singer started her career at the age of nine, in the Broadway production “Maggie Flynn.” She later landed the role of Dorothy in the 1975 to 1977 Broadway of “The Wiz.”

Throughout the ‘80s, Mills dominated R&B and Disco with five hits that made it to number one, including “Home,” “I Have Learned to Respect the Power of Love,” “I Feel Good All Over,” “A Rush on Me,” and “Something in the Way.”

The same decade, the talented artist won a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, and in 2015, Mills appeared on NBC’s “The Wiz Live!” to take on the role of Auntie Em.

A PROUD MOTHER

Apart from being a successful singer, Mills is also a proud mother to her son Farad, who was diagnosed with down syndrome.

Despite having a child with a disability, Mills sees her son as a blessing and fully embraces the role of motherhood.

It is without a doubt that the entertainer experienced challenges and difficulties in raising her son, yet he has fulfilled her life in many ways.

Among the many beautiful traits of her son, the singer highlighted his being smart, charismatic, and humorous among the people he interacts with.
