Colton Haynes of 'Arrow' Heartbroken after Losing Sister Julie to Cancer

Colton Haynes revealed in a heartfelt Instagram post that his sister passed away after a long battle with cancer: “I’m at a loss for words.”

Colton Haynes’ sister died on Monday after a long hard fight with cancer. The actor recently had an emotional post about his mourning.

A DIFFICULT LOSS

The 31-year-old took to Instagram to share a series of photos with family during several vacation trips. The post came with a caption that updated his fans and followers of his current status. It read:

“My heart hurts. Trying my hardest to focus on being grateful that she doesn’t have to suffer any longer & remembering all the incredible times we’ve had together.”

Many also noticed that he deleted all photos with his ex-husband on social media and didn’t post any new ones together.

Despite trying to put positive thoughts in his head, the “Arrow” star admitted that it was challenging to be alright when his family couldn’t mourn together as one amid the pandemic.

Julie, 51, was 20 years older than Haynes and lived with her husband of nearly 30 years and three grown-up children.

The obituary at Shea Funeral Home stated that Julie’s life is yet to be honored as soon as the coronavirus passes and things become normal.

SENDING CONDOLENCES

Several fans and friends of the actor know how much family means to Haynes -- something which he was open about when his mom passed away in 2018.

Many of Haynes’ friends extended their condolences on the comments section, with many sending love at this trying time. One comment read:

“Love, strength, and healing to you and your family my brother. She ascends amongst angels.”

HAYNES RECENT DIVORCE

The “Teen Wolf” actor previously filed for divorce after seven months of marriage with Jeff Leatham, citing irreconcilable differences.

Haynes also requested that any form of spousal support be removed from the conditions on paper. The speculation that things were difficult for the former couple happened when Haynes unfollowed Leatham on social media.

Many also noticed that he deleted all photos with his ex-husband on social media and didn’t post any new ones together.

Their separation came after a spectacular marriage proposal took place, which involved the legendary singer Cher.
