J-Lo Honors Barbra Streisand While Performing Her Iconic Song for the 'One World' Concert

During her "One World: Together At Home" performance recently, multitalented artist Jennifer Lopez honored Barbra Streisand in more ways than one.

On April 18, Lopez, 50, tackled one of Streisand's iconic songs, "People," from the 1964 musical "Funny Girl." She's also sporting a sweatshirt printed with the Broadway diva's face.

Seated in her backyard in the midst of twinkling lights, Lopez sang, "People, people who need people/ Are the luckiest people in the world..."

"VERY PRETTY"

Many people were impressed with her performance, including Streisand herself. As reported by Page Six, the 77-year-old said her performance is "very pretty."

According to Billboard, pop star Lady Gaga curated the night's all-star lineup. Famous personalities who performed at the benefit concert also includes Taylor Swift, John Legend, and Paul McCartney.

The World Health Organization and Global Citizen collaborated for their extensive global special to help and praise healthcare workers who are at the frontlines in the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.

HEARTFELT MESSAGES

Meanwhile, before her performance at "One World: Together At Home" concert, Lopez dedicated heartfelt messages to NewYork – Presbyterian Hospital's over 47,000 employees. She expressed gratitude toward them for their "heroic" services, as reported by PEOPLE.

"Hi everyone! I just want to thank all of the hospital workers, the doctors, nurses and staff at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital for fighting the good fight," she started her message.

In March 2019, Lopez got engaged to her baseball legend boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez.

ANOTHER EPIC PERFORMANCE

The "Waiting For Tonight" singer added, "Your heroic efforts have not gone unnoticed. We love you, we thank you, and stay safe."

Last February, Lopez also made headlines after her spectacular performance at the Pepsi Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show along with Shakira. One of the highlights of that historic act was Lopez dancing on the stripper pole.

Lopez channeled Ramona, her "Hustlers" character, by dancing on a stripper pole during her set. Discussing her intriguing dance moves, she added that it was such a skill to learn and that she simply acknowledged it would be a pleasant thing for the people.

In March 2019, Lopez got engaged to her baseball legend boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, during a romantic beach getaway.

The three-times married singer's summer wedding plans got delayed earlier because of her tight filming schedules and Superbowl performance. This time around, the award-winning artist is prepared to get back and make planning a wedding a priority.
