Gladys Knight's Husband William McDowell Says He Misses Going out with Wife
William McDowell, the husband of American singer and songwriter, Gladys Knight, took to Instagram to post about how he misses going out with her, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The novel coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage the entire world and has caused the destabilization of economies, markets, and industries. It has also led to a lockdown, making people stay indoors as a precaution.
The quarantine also put a stop to social gatherings, sporting activities, events, and concerts, and many people have felt and continue to feel the effects of the global pandemic.

One such person is William McDowell, the husband of Gladys Knight, who, despite having to spend more time with his beloved wife at home, misses the feel of the outside world.
McDowell shared a picture on his Instagram page of himself and Knight on the red carpet of an event that they attended together, and in the caption to the post, wrote:
"Miss going out and just doin our thang."
There were a few comments to McDowell's post, with some fans of Gladys Knight showing their displeasure at the fact that the pandemic could lead to a cancellation of some of her already scheduled shows.
One fan said that it was likely that the singer's show at the Greek in Los Angeles and the Shell in San Diego, both scheduled for July would be canceled, and wished that COVID-19 would go away.
The 75-year-old musical icon didn’t marry again until 2001 when she walked down the aisle with McDowell.
Another fan also praised Knight and McDowell, saying that the couple is two of her favorite people, and that she loved them, and thinks they are both gorgeous inside and out.
Gladys Knight has been married four times, first to James Newman, when she was 16 years old. He was addicted to drugs and left her and their two kids four years later.
The singer later married Barry Hankerson in 1974 and had a son for him before their divorce four years later. Her third husband was Les Brown, the motivational speaker, who she married in 1995.
That union didn’t last long either, ending in divorce in two years. The 75-year-old musical icon didn’t marry again until 2001 when she walked down the aisle with McDowell.
Together, the couple has seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. They live together in their home in North Carolina and are still going strong even after 19 years.
McDowell recalled their wedding day when he shared a lovely picture from their nuptials on his Instagram page on April 12, a day to their nineteenth wedding anniversary. A great love story!
