ROMANCING HOLLYWOOD'S HUNKS
The lovely Christina was famous for her romances with some of Hollywood's hunkiest men -- including Brad Pitt and Richard Grieco -- and seemed to have a soft spot for musicians.
She dated Guns N' Roses' drummer Steven Adler, and vocalists Adam Duritz and Sebastian Bach of the bands Counting Crows and Skid Row.

After her separation from Johnathon in 2005, Christina started dating photographer Lee Grivas. The relationship foundered after 3 years over Lee's substance abuse issues. Shortly after the actress called quite on the romance, the photographer died of an overdose on July 1, 2008, leaving Christina devastated.

MEETING MARTYN LENOBLE
Shortly after Lee's death, Christina met Dutch musician Martyn LeNoble. The couple started dating, and a few months later, Christina was dealt a second brutal blow: she was diagnosed with an early stage of breast cancer. Her official representative announced:
"Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early stage of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor-ordered MRI, the cancer is not life-threatening."
In order to prevent the reoccurrence of the cancer, Christina underwent a double mastectomy. Even though their relationship was recent, Martyn stood by her side and was a pillar of strength throughout her ordeal. Christina revealed:
Martyn has really been an incredible part of my life. (...) He came around at a time when there was a lot of loss in my life on many levels, so he's been a really incredible help.'
With Martyn by her side, Christina went through the surgery, and the treatments, and on Valentine's day 2010, the musician popped the question. IN January 2011, Martyn and Christina welcomed their only child, daughter Sadie Grace, now 9 years old.
A QUIET WEDDING
On February 23, 2013, Christina and Martyn were married in their Los Angeles home in the presence of just 6 guests -- including their two-year-old daughter Sadie -- and the bride glowed in a lovely draped gown by Lucia Hohan.
WHO IS MARTYN LENOBLE
Fans of punk rock music will be familiar with Martyn's work as a musician, and one of the founding members of the alternative rock group Porno for Pyros. The talented bassist has also toured with Jane's Addiction, the Cult, and Soulsavers, and Sarah McLachlan, among others.
In 2013, shortly after their wedding, the low-key Martyn hit the headlines after an altercation with a paparazzo who got too close to his wife and then-two-year-old. The family was attending a birthday party when they were accosted by the inopportune photographer.
Things got heated between the musician and the paparazzi when Martyn stepped between him and his family, and the Police were called. The intervention of the authorities resulted in the officers frisking Martyn.
After a brief investigation, the Ventura Police released Martyn, and no charges were brought against the protective Dutch musician.

Christina and Martyn are doting parents to their only child, Sadie, but the actress nurses one overwhelming fear: that she might have passed on the BRCA1 mutated gene for breast and ovarian cancer to her daughter. She revealed:
"The chances that my daughter is BRCA positive are very high. I look at her and feed her the cleanest foods. I try to keep her stress levels down. I’m doing everything I can on my end."
Christina's mother, actress Nancy Priddy is also a breast cancer survivor. In 2017, Christina had her ovaries and her fallopian tubes removed to prevent the possible development of ovarian cancer.
Since her cancer trial, Christina has become an outspoken advocate for breast and ovarian cancer awareness, encouraging women who might be in danger to undergo genetic testing, carry out self-examinations, and visit their family doctor frequently.
