Tristan Mack Wilds of "The Wire" introduces his daughter Tristyn to the world through some pictures he shared on Instagram.

Tristan Mack Wilds is officially a dad after welcoming his first child Tristyn Naomi into the world with his girlfriend Christina Hammond. The proud parents shared pictures of their darling daughter on Instagram for the rest of the world to see.

Their precious blessing was named after the "90210" actor, giving the name "Tristan" a little tweak. Although she's only 5-months-old, Tristyn has already changed their lives for the better.

PREPARING TO BECOME A DAD

Before the arrival of their daughter, Wilds knew that he had a lot of growing up and strengthening to do for him to be able to take care of their child well. He adds that he felt as if he needed to be a certain way especially since he's raising a girl.

"There's a certain tenderness when you're raising a girl. You still have to be tough, but ultimately, when you're raising a girl, you're raising the closest thing that we have to God."

The brand new pictures of their daughter was a part of Essence magazine's 50th-anniversary issue. The TV host decided on providing an exclusive first look to the publication due to its pivotal work in showing the experiences of black women in America.

Wilds couldn't have done it without her partner, and he gave credit to Christina Hammond for being his backbone through it all.

To Wilds, there was no better way for his daughter to make her debut into the world but to join the "legacy of icons who have graced these pages," particularly that of the iconic magazine. He ended his Instagram post by speaking to his daughter, telling her to "get ready to show the world your light."

Of course, Wilds couldn't have done it without her partner, and he gave credit to Christina Hammond for being his backbone through it all. As for Christina herself, she revealed that she can't wait for their little girl to make memories with them, especially her father.

"I'm blessed that she's able to have the experience of having such a good father, because there's nothing like it. I know that he has her back 1000 percent."
