Beyoncé Pays Touching Tribute to Mom Tina Lawson on Mother's Day

Beyonce expressed her pride and admiration for her mother in a heartfelt post that included a slideshow of pics. Tina has been missing her family due to social distancing restrictions.

Tina Knowles-Lawson got a sweet Mother’s Day tribute from her daughter, Beyonce who she’s been missing since COVID-19 deprived her of their weekly gatherings.

It was Tina who first greeted Beyonce a Happy Mother’s Day with a heartfelt post. She described her daughter as a “phenomenal Mom” who makes her proud.

“She let’s me know I did something right in raising and helping to raise (Kelly) three amazing mothers," she added.

In response, Beyonce took to her Instagram to honor her Mama and thank her for all that she is and everything they share. Part of her message read,

“Thank you for giving me life and thank you for expanding my consciousness. I would not have been able to do any of what I’ve done in my life without your strength, your wisdom and your prayers.”

Beyonce added that her greatest goal in life is “for my children to feel the love you make us feel.”

“I appreciate you and thank you with every ounce of admiration and respect,” she continued.

Tina has been feeling the impact of COVID-19 since social distancing measures were set in place. She admitted in a recent appearance on “Tamron Hall” that she misses her family because she hasn’t been able to see them.

Beyonce’s post came with a slide show that featured a throwback photo of Tina. The pic reminded us of how closely Beyonce resembled her 66-year-old mother. She wrote under the photo, “MY MAMA WAS A SAVAGE, GOT THIS [EXPLETIVE] FROM TINA.”

Beyonce also shared a collage of photos of Tina which her sister Solange likewise posted. It included solos and snaps with family. Two other collages featured random photos of mothers with their children. Beyonce reminded her followers to keep honoring their mothers.

“Please thank and appreciate your mom today and everyday. I’m sending all my love and positivity to anyone missing their angel moms today. I love y’all deep.”

Sundays are especially difficult, according to Tina who was used to seeing Beyonce and her grandchildren that day. “So on Sunday mornings, I got the blues,” she said.

The good news is that Tina and the rest of her family all tested negative for the virus. This gave her hope that she’d be reunited with her family on Mother’s Day.
