Vanessa Williams Celebrates Stevie Wonder's 70th Birthday with a Sweet Photo

Music icon Vanessa Williams put up a sweet birthday tribute to music legend Stevie Wonder, who turned 70 yesterday. She shared a heartwarming photo of them performing on stage together.

Vannessa Williams was in a celebratory mood as she took to her Instagram page to show her love for music legend Stevie Wonder as he clocked a milestone age!

In her heartfelt post, the R&B songstress shared a throwback image of her and Stevie on stage as they were pictured singing out their hearts at the 2011 Athens Special Olympics.

Stevie Wonder was born blind with an eye condition that left his retina detached. However, that did not stop his fantastic career from soaring to the highest level imaginable.

Williams looked stunning in a pink wrap dress while the celebrant stood tall and elegant in a dark blue garb beside her. She wrote in her caption:

"Happy Birthday to ya, Happy Birthday to ya, Happy Birthday to ya, happy birthday #steviewonder 70 years old."

Many fans joined the former beauty queen in the comment section, where they commemorated Stevie's birthday and showed their love and affection.

According to Metro, Stevie started his music career as a child prodigy at the age of 11. He was referred to as Little Stevie Wonder, and he became a prominent star when his song "Fingertips," was number 1 on the Billboard 100 at 13.

Stevie Wonder was born blind with an eye condition that left his retina detached. However, that did not stop his fantastic career from soaring to the highest level imaginable.

Throughout his career span, the "Isn't She Lovely" crooner won a total of 25 Grammy awards, among others. The "Hotter Than July" vocalist also sold a whopping sum of over 100 million records.

ET Canada gives snippets of some of the music star's achievements when it comes to songwriting. One of these is Smokey Robinson & the Miracles' "The Tears of a Clown," which was released in 1967.

At the time, Stevie was 17 years old, and he co-wrote the hit song. Also, stars like J.Cole, Ja Rule, Jay-Z, and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, among others, have sampled some of Stevie's original melodies.

Besides being a singer who carried off melodies with her sonorous voice and an actress that showed versatility in Hollywood, Vanessa Williams has tried her hands at marriage three times.

Once speaking with Glamour, the 1984's Miss USA opened up about life lessons she got from her marital life. Vanessa advised that one should be sure of the individual before marriage. She also mentioned that it was essential to surrender one's self in a relationship or marriage.
