Meagan Good of 'Californication' Reveals Skin Treatment Caused Her Skin to Lighten

After sharing a video of herself with her skin looking a lot lighter than usual, Meagan Good reveals the "traumatic experience" that caused this to happen.

It's been months since fans noticed how much lighter Meagan Good's skin has been, which they first noticed when she attended the afterparty for "Black and Blue" in 2019. Since then, fans questioned whether or not she had her skin bleached.

When a harsh comment was posted on her recent Instagram video, the actress finally had enough and decided to set the record straight about what had happened to her skin. The commenter called her "average" because of her light skin, while her dark skin was "above average."

THE TRUE STORY

She ended her comment asking why she bleached her skin, to which Good replied that she didn't. Unfortunately, it was an unlicensed aesthetician that caused her skin to lighten the way it did.

Meagan explained that she went to the aesthetician, without knowing she wasn't licensed, to correct a sun damage mark on her forehead. After being given a product, it ended up messing up her skin.

“To be honest it was a beyond painful and traumatic experience because I would never wish that on anybody. I’d really appreaciate if you wouldn’t continue to spread assumptions and rumors. God bless you.”

HER LOVE STORY

Despite the comment she decided to clear out, Meagan Good and her husband DeVon Franklin have been staying at home amid the COVID-19 quarantine, and it's given them a lot more time to strengthen their bond as husband and wife. Aside from their daily prayers and activities, they celebrated the director's birthday back in April.

When the timing was right for both of them, they were able to go on the much-awaited date of theirs, worked on their relationship, got married, and the rest is history.

THE BEST DAYS

The lovely couple has been married since 2012, and it's been made clear since the very start that they thank God for being the matchmaker of their marriage. On his birthday, she shared a sweet message for him on social media for fans to see.

"My love, this is one of the best days of "my" life because it's the day "you" were born. The day God saw fit to complete your design and set you on a course that ultimately would bring you to me.. and me to you."

True enough, when the timing was right for both of them, they were able to go on the much-awaited date of theirs, worked on their relationship, got married, and the rest is history.
