People: Kelly Ripa and Family Are Quarantined in the Caribbean Amid COVID-19 Outbreak
Kelly Ripa and her family have been on the longest vacation as they continue to observe quarantine in the Caribbean.
Kelly Ripa has been active in her virtual sessions on "Live with Kelly and Ryan," but little did everyone know the host is speaking from the Caribbean.
A source told PEOPLE that "the family was on a trip in the Caribbean when told to shelter in place and decided to stay put."

Michael graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, but won't be able to take the stage following the university's decision to follow social distancing.
STUCK IN THE CARIBBEAN
Ripa, her husband Mark Consuelos, and their three kids Lola, Michael, and Joaquin, were on vacation when ABC told them to seek shelter as the coronavirus began its rapid spread across the world.
During a town hall with ABE employees, Ripa shared her experience: "We arrive, and three days later, the entire world changed. I mean, everything shut down, the government shut down; our country shut down."

The two-week trip turned into a month-long forced vacation, which paved the way for Ripa and her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, to decide to continue their show from afar.
"I've been most grateful that at least I have my adult children with me," the mom-of-three added. "I think it's been a great benefit for us to have each other."
CELEBRATING A VIRTUAL GRADUATION
Recently, Ripa celebrated her eldest son, Michael's, college graduation from NYU. The proud mom shared an Instagram story with her son, showing a tassel.
In one episode of "Live with Kelly and Ryan," Ripa expressed her pride because of her son's milestone but hoped his graduation wouldn't have to be virtual instead of traditional.

EMOTIONAL AMID THE PANDEMIC
Last month, Ripa also got emotional during one of her virtual segments with Seacrest, sharing how her family has been in quarantine.

The 49-year-old teared up as she said some of her kids refused to hug her while observing quarantine. She said:
"I haven't gotten to hug my parents. I want to hug my parents. And my kids like, won't hug me. And I'm like, 'Guys, we've all been in lockdown together."
At that time, it hasn't been revealed that Ripa and her family were stuck in the Caribbean, which probably added to her stress and emotions.
