Mehcad Brooks Is the Son of Former NFL Player Billy Brooks — Inside the Actor's Personal Life
Actor and singer Mehcad Brooks, best known as TK King in "Necessary Roughness," is not the only famous person in his family. His dad is none other than former NFL player Billy Brooks.
Some people were shocked after Mehcad, born in October 1980, didn't follow in his father's footsteps and decided to be an actor instead of an athlete, especially because he is 6-feet-5-inches tall.
He never used women for money, but he did it for sex.

MEHCAD BROOK S' CAREER
He started working in the entertainment industry in 2002, taking acting gigs in projects like "Radimi: Who Stole the Dream," "Do Over," and "Malcolm in the Middle."
Mehcad's big break came in 2005 when he portrayed Matthew Applewhite in "Desperate Housewives." Due to his outstanding performance, he was nominated for an Image Award for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2006.
After that, he kept landing parts in TV series like "The Game," "The Deep End," and "True Blood." Finally, in 2011, he was cast as Terrence TK King in "Necessary Roughness," one of his first main roles in a major project.
Coincidentally or not, his character was a wide receiver for the New York Hawks football team and then the New Jersey Bobcats. Mehcad Brooks' father, Billy Brooks, was also a wide receiver. He played for three teams between 1976 and 1981.
MEHCAD REGRETS HOW HE TREATED WOMEN IN HIS 20S
Coming back to the actor, he has kept his romantic relationships away from the spotlight for most of his career. In January this year, Mehcad confessed that he used women for sex when he was in his 20s.
In Tyler Perry Netflix's film "A Fall from Grace," Mehcad portrayed Shannon, a controlling and exploitative man who married Crystal Fox's character Grace to get money from her.
As a way to promote the movie, the "Necessary Roughness" star was in an interview with Page Six in which he pointed out that he never used women for money, but he did it for sex, he explained:
"In your 20s, you don't know any better, and I was wrong. At 23 years old, you don't know [expletive]. It's like, 'Let me get that!' You trying to get everything."
Speaking of Tyler Perry, he was a matter of conversation during an interview that Mehcad had with "Muscle and Fitness." In it, he revealed that the famous director and producer first contacted him for a small role in the film "Nobody's Fool."
Then, he contacted him again to work on "A Fall from Grace." Mehcad respects Tyler so much that he even described him as the type of person who could change lives with a phone call.
MEHCAD BROOK S' LOVE LIFE
As per his love life, Mehcad Brooks' girlfriends hardly ever make headlines, especially because he has kept his relationships away from the spotlight.
Back in 2011, however, Daily Mail reported that he and his then-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis got involved in a heated discussion in her apartment building in West Hollywood.
After they reportedly shouted at each other in the middle of the lobby, Elisabetta kicked him out. She even gave Mehcad's belongings to the building manager and asked them to told her ex-boyfriend never to contact her again, allegedly.
Their relationship was quite short as they were spotted together for the first time only three months before their dramatic split took place.
During that time, though, they visited a few countries, including Germany and her native Italy. Nowadays, Mehcad Brook is in a relationship with model Frida Kardeskog.
The couple is not shy when it comes to sharing posts of each other on social media as their Instagram accounts have plenty of photos and videos together.
At the moment, he is expected to appear in the upcoming "Mortal Kombat" as Major Jax Briggs. Mehcad Brooks was also one of the stars of "Supergirl," the superhero TV series distributed by Warner Bros. Television, but he decided to leave after its fifth season.
