Joe Jackson's Granddaughter Yasmine Stabbed 7 Times in Alleged Racist Attack
Yasmine Jackson revealed photos of stitches on her face as she recounted how a woman stabbed her 7 times allegedly because she's Black.
In the midst of the emotionally-charged climate surrounding George Floyd’s death, Joe Jackson’s granddaughter, Yasmine Jackson revealed she was stabbed several times and called her the N-word in what appeared to be a racially-motivated assault.
HATING ON A HATE CRIME
Yasmine took to her Instagram to reveal photos of her scarred face along with a recount of the details of the horrific attack she experienced from another woman.
Yasmine's stabbing incident happened just as the country faces nationwide protests after the brutal death of George Floyd in the hands of the police.
Yasmine said the incident occurred outside her home after the woman chased her down. The woman who called her the N-word stabbed her seven times resulting in her inability to move her neck.

“I’m scared to be alone,” Yasmine admitted, her face in stitches in the photos she shared. She also revealed she asked for help while she was being attacked but nobody dared until later on. She was grateful for those who did.
“I didn’t deserve this, nobody does,” Yasmine added, declaring she was “proud to be black.” She also expressed her dismay because she learned the woman was only charged with felony battery with a deadly weapon.
However, in a later update, Yasmine revealed that the woman was charged for attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, and a hate crime. A hearing was set this month
Yasmine, who’s a nurse in Las Vegas is the daughter of Joh’Vonie Jackson, the late Jackson patriarch's daughter with Cheryll Terrell.
A MOTHER'S OUTCRY
On her Instagram, Joh’Vonie also shared images of her daughter’s stitches not just on her face but on her ears, legs, neck, and arms.
“My daughter has a good heart and has dedicated her time as a nurse to help others. She did not deserve this!”, the outraged mother wrote to caption her collage.
A COUNTRYWIDE PROTEST
Yasmine's stabbing incident happened just as the country faces nationwide protests after the brutal death of George Floyd in the hands of the police.
Like Yasmine, Floyd's death was deemed racially-charged. He was being pinned to the ground by a police officer following an arrest when he succumbed to his death. The cop's knee was pressed firmly on his neck which caused him to lose his breath.
The outcry over Floyd's senseless death has caused citizens to flock to the streets in spite of the threat of COVID-19 still imminent. Social media has also been teeming with protests calling out the rampancy of police brutality and racism.
