Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell Announce Reopening of Australia Zoo with Cute Photos

Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell recently announced the reopening of Australia Zoo amid the coronavirus pandemic: We’re adapting to create a beautiful experience for everyone.

It wasn’t long since Bindi Irwin tied the knot with Chandler Powell, and in the few weeks following their wedding, the two worked hard for the reopening of Australia Zoo.

Recently, the pair proudly announced that Australia Zoo will be opening to the public on Friday after being closed amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The late “Crocodile Hunter’s” daughter shared the news on Instagram, alongside a candid photo with her husband and mom hard at work.

“We’re adapting to create a beautiful experience for everyone,” Irwin wrote. “I’m especially grateful for my sweetheart family who remind me daily that anything is possible.”

The newlyweds proudly modeled the merchandise together, which were promoted on social media and on the Australia Zoo website.

Powell likewise posted on Instagram a sweet photo with his wife and a furry animal on his shoulder. “All smiles with my gorgeous wife because @australiazoo reopens this Friday!” he wrote.

Australia Zoo is not just the place Irwin and her family grew up in, but also where she exchanged wedding vows with her life-long partner.

TYING THE KNOT AT AUSTRALIA ZOO

The couple’s wedding was initially set on April 4, but with the coronavirus pandemic spreading all over Australia, as well as the rest of the world, the safety of their guests may have been compromised.

Irwin and her family had to temporarily shut down the zoo as well as cancel their wedding a few days before the supposed date.

“It was a tough decision, but absolutely the right one,” she said. “We desperately want to get married, and no matter what the future holds, at least we’ll be husband and wife. We can take on the world together.”

On March 25, Irwin and Powell tied the knot at the Australian Zoo with three attendees: Terri Irwin, Robert Irwin, and Wes Mannion, the late Steve Irwin’s best friend.

CHOOSE CHANDLER MERCHANDISE

Shortly after their wedding, Powell launched his “Choose Chandler” clothing line as part of the Australia Zoo merchandise.

The cotton-made tees, which had crocodile logos printed on them, were for good use as proceeds go to animal funding at the Queensland Zoo.
