Kelly Ripa Gets a Head Start on Father's Day with a Sweet Throwback Photo of Mark Consuelos

Kelly Ripa can't wait to honor her husband and father of her three children, Mark Consuelos. Way ahead of Father's Day, she's already reminiscing on those moments when he became a dad.

On Wednesday, Kelly Ripa took to Instagram to show appreciation for husband Mark Consuelos. The married couple shares kids, Michael, 23, Lola, 19, and Joaquin, 17.

With Father's Day coming up, Ripa shared a throwback showing Consuelas cuddling a newborn Lola back in 2001. The post is found below.

In the heartwarming photo, we see a much younger Conseulos wearing a black t-shirt as he looks down at the precious baby girl. Both arms held her securely and she appears to be sleeping.

Little Lola is all bundled up in a white blanket with blue and pink stripes. Ripa wrote in the caption: "Tbt father day 2001 featuring a newcomer on the scene."

She tagged her daughter in the post, confirming it as Lola. Ripa likely shared a photo of her daughter since the teen's birthday was just a couple of days before.

On Tuesday, Ripa celebrated her daughter's big day with ten slides consisting mostly of baby photos of Lola. The doting mother described the young girl as the "heart and soul" of the family.

In an episode of "Live with Kelly and Ryan," Ripa revealed that the family planned to celebrate with homemade red velvet cake and sushi takeout. Consuelos also shared throwbacks of his daughter on her birthday.

Ripa and her family are lucky enough to be stuck in the Caribbean amid the coronavirus pandemic. Their tropical vacation house is the best place to be able to relax while working from home.

Hello Magazine recently reported on the gorgeous art located inside, including large house plants and gingham curtains. When Ripa shoots for "Live with Kelly and Ryan," we can see a cream sofa and some wall art.

The black and white illustrations bring out the wall behind the blonde beauty who was only three days into her vacation when lockdowns began to take effect back in April.

Sometimes, Consuelos joins in the segment while Ripa works, and the pair look adorable and still so in love to this day. They originally met on the set of ABC's "All My Children" in the mid-90s.

At first, Conseulos didn't think he had a chance with Ripa, but when they became love interests on the show and had to work close together, things took off quickly.

The pair got married in 1996. A year later, they welcomed Michael, both becoming parents for the first time. Their characters got married on "All My Children," and Ripa left the show in 2002.
