Ellen Pompeo is famous for her role as “Meridith Grey” on the ABC medical series, “Grey’s Anatomy,” and while fans have gotten to know her over the years, little is known about her real-life husband, Chris Ivery. Just like his wife, Ivery works in the entertainment industry as a music producer, and here are seven other facts about him.

IVERY MET HIS WIFE AT A GROCERY STORE

Long before Pompeo was cast as “Meredith Grey” on Grey’s Anatomy, Ivery met his wife in 2003 at a Los Angeles grocery store. The duo kicked off their romance about six months after their initial meeting.

As it is with many other couples, Ivery’s relationship with Pompeo fostered because of their common interests and experiences. Particularly, their similar background helped them develop a strong unmatchable bond.

IVERY ENJOYS PAYING HIS WIFE COMPLIMENTS

Despite being together for over a decade, Ivery doesn’t seem to get tired of paying Pompeo compliments. While speaking about her husband’s sweet gestures, Pompeo reportedly revealed that Ivery constantly tells her how beautiful she looks while also complimenting her great body.

After dating for a few years, Ivery proposed to Pompeo on her 37th birthday with a beautiful 3.5-carat diamond engagement ring. In 2007, the lovebirds tied the knot in a private ceremony that took place at the City Hall with the then New York Mayor, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, serving as a witness.

While Ivery is relatively wealthy, his wife is also a pretty rich woman herself. As of 2014, she was approximately worth $30 million and was reported to have been earning about $350,000 for every episode that she appeared on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Back in 2011, Ivery and Pompeo bought a three-story modern farmhouse for $925,000, and earlier this year, they sold it off for approximately $3 million.

IVERY AND POMPEO WERE MADE GUEST APPEARANCES ON “PUNK’D”

When Ashton Kutcher was still running "Punk’d," Ivery and his wife once appeared on the show. Ivery featured as the accomplice while Pompeo was the victim of the prank.

The scene showed the couple dining at a restaurant that had a lovely waitress. Ivery then went on to leave a rather large tip for the waitress, which stirred up suspicions from Pompeo. Pompeo’s suspicions got the best of her and escalated into anger which was directed at both the waitress and Ivery.

IVERY HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF SCANDALS

Since his wedding to Pompeo in 2007, Ivery has been involved in several cheating scandals that have rocked his marriage.

In 2012, Ivery reportedly tried to hook up with a young girl at a “Guns ‘N’ Roses” concert, but despite the rumors, the couple’s love for each other seems to be unshaken.

IVERY AND POMPEO HAVE A DAUGHTER CALLED STELLA LUNA

Ivery and his beau welcomed their first child, Stella Luna, barely two years after their wedding, and from the look of things, Ivery has a strong bond with his daughter.

Pompeo once reportedly revealed that her husband enjoyed dressing Stella and would also buy her clothes to match his outfits. In addition to Stella, the couple has two other kids together, Sienna May and Eli Christopher.

While speaking about her role as a mother, Pompeo recently revealed that she felt fortunate to be able to balance her family life with her career.

IVERY STILL HAS DATE NIGHTS WITH HIS WIFE

Pompeo reportedly admitted that she still has fun with her husband. According to her, most of their date nights happen inside their home, but they spice things up sometimes by going to dinner.

Although Pompeo is loved by many, she came under attack in April after some of her past remarks about Harvey Weinstein and sexual assault survivors resurfaced online.
