Author, speaker, and digital strategist Luvvie Ajayi had a splendid Nigerian wedding ceremony. Here is a peek into the glamorous wedding ceremony.
Weddings are captivating events. The amount of work and detailing that goes into making that special day unique is often unrivaled with any other celebration.
Nigerian born and Chicago bred author, speaker, and digital strategist Luvvie Ajayi married longtime boyfriend Carnell Jones, and the couple was surrounded by tons of love and family.
Luvvie kept her followers in the mix of things by earnestly detailing the lead up to her big day on Instagram. She broke the news of her engagement and proposal on the platform sometime in November 2018 when she shared a picture of herself and her then-fiance.
The picture featured Luvvie showing off her engagement ring while Carnell Jones peeked from behind her. The couple were all smiles and Luvvie captioned the post saying:
"My favorite asked me to do this life thing with him while we were in Paris, and I said YES. #LuvvJones #PartyJollofOnDeck."
In July 2019, she shared a series of pictures showing herself and her girlfriends enjoying some girl time at the beach in celebration of the engagement and preparation for the wedding.
Luvvie and her friends had flown to Anguilla for "shenanigans." The ladies looked lovely as they all wore red swimsuits while the then to be bride wore a white swimsuit.
The event was dubbed as pure magic to behold.
For the d-day, Luvvie was surrounded by her group of friends who were part of her "Aso-Ebi" crew. The ladies wore champagne gold attires and took their business of ushering the couple in seriously as they performed synchronized dance steps.
Luvvie and Carnell stole the show in their turquoise outfit. With her fantastic headgear and traditional beads, Luvvie looked nothing short of elegant, and celebrity-guest and friend of the bride Cynthia Erivo could not help but share pictures from the ceremony.
The Nigeria wedding ceremony was glamorous as the hall was teeming with guests who also wore their matching traditional attire. The colorful pomp and fair of the event could not be missed as the family gathered round to pray for the couple.
For the American portion of her wedding, Luvvie rocked custom ivory laced pantorabridal robe and wedding dress while Carnell wore a custom fit turquoise suit.
Cynthia Erivo sang Lauren Hill's "Tell Him" to usher Luvvie down, and the event was dubbed as pure magic to behold by friends and family who attended the wedding ceremonies.
