Born in Decatur, GA, McClain landed her first acting role at the age of seven when she was cast to appear alongside Idris Elba in "The Gospel."
Shortly after that, she caught the attention of actor Tyler Perry, who cast her in movies such as "Madea's Family Reunion" and "Daddy's Little Girls," where she once again acted alongside Idris Elba.
In 2006, Mcclain snagged a spot in Tyler Perry's "House of Payne," where she acted as Jazmine Payne for seven seasons. After "House of Payne," Mcclain was cast in "Disney's "A.N.T. Farm," where she starred alongside Vanessa Morgan, Zendaya, and the late Cameron Boyce.
