Kourtney Kardashian Gets Candid about Toxic Environment at KUWTK and Her Decision to Quit

Kourtney Kardashian opened up about "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" turning into a "toxic environment" in a recent interview. She also discussed her decision to step away from the hit reality series.

In her July/August 2020 cover story, the 41-year-old Poosh creator told Vogue Arabia that she has been filming "KUWTK" uninterrupted for over a decade.

"I was feeling unfulfilled," she added, "and it became a toxic environment for me to continue to have it occupy as much of my life as it was."

FOLLOWING HER HAPPINESS

Kardashian continued that she struggled to discover a harmony between starring on a reality show and keeping up privacy in her own life. In the end, she chose to film less.

"People have this misconception that I don't want to work, which isn't true," she explained. "I am following my happiness and putting my energy into that which makes me happy."

In November 2019, Kardashian announced that she intended to take a break from "KUWTK," as reported by US Weekly. Debuted in October 2007, "KUWTK" has since become one of the longest-running reality show ever.

SPENDING MORE TIME AS A MOM

During a candid interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kardashian said she just decided to spend more time as a mother and put more of her energy there. She noted that she would not leave the show totally.

Kardashian talked about her decision with her sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner in an episode that aired in March. Unfortunately, the discussion ended with Kim slapping Kardashian across the face, as reported by US Weekly.

Kardashian and Disick chose to delete the Instagram account of their son, Mason, after he subtly made one.

FANS' SPECULATIONS

Meanwhile, Kardashian shares three children — Mason, Penelope, and Reign — with her ex Scott Disick. The internet recently theorized that she has been cozying up in Disick's flannel shirt, according to US Weekly.

On June 14, Kardashian shared an adorable snap of herself holding a baby lamb. She wore an oversize flannel and baggy jeans.

A fan page of the former couple then reposted a snap of Kardashian along with a Disick photo rocking the same or a similar flannel shirt. The fan page captioned the post, "KOURTNEY IS REALLY WEARING SCOTT'S FLANNEL!"

Last March, Kardashian and Disick chose to delete the Instagram account of their son, Mason, after he subtly made one.

Kardashian said she thinks with Instagram, what stresses her with her children is essentially the remarks. She reiterated that people can be very mean.

Mason joined Instagram on March 24. He even shut down rumors that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have reunited during a live video.
