Remember 'New Jack City' Star Mario Van Peebles? Here's How He Looks at 63
Fans of the production titled "New Jack City" are quite familiar with the name Mario Van Peebles who was the director of the crime drama. Peebles is, however, not only a director, writer, and producer, but an actor who does not seem to have aged, even at 63.
His Instagram page reflects his ageless and nearly unrecognizable youthful look that has his online fans singing his praises. Last year, the actor posted an image of himself as he struck a model pose in a white, long-sleeved shirt on a beach.

Another personal shot featured Peebles's stylish side. It saw him standing close to the picture of Nelson Mandela, the famous South African freedom fighter who passed away a few years ago. The director donned a nice looking hat with matching colored long sleeves and checkered pants.
Two of his kids, Morgana and son, Mandela, are also involved in some Hollywood affairs.
The 63-year-old can be defined as a handsome and fashionable individual but he also put time into building relationships with friends, family members, and even his colleagues.
Posts on his social media handle prove this to be correct. In fact, his recent post was with a fellow director named Troy. He shared a 1986 and a 2020 image of himself and Troy, then wrote:
"Troy credits me with inspiring her to not just act but to shape our own narratives as filmmakers. It's not just History it's OUR-story."
Many award-winning productions in the industry also have Peebles to thank for his creative directing. In 2019, he was reported to be gearing up for a new film titled "Outlaw Posse." Over the years, he has worked on series like "Roots," "Empire," "Sons of Anarchy," "Boss," and "Lost."
Sources have it that he funds his works and that he learned his craft from his talented father, Melvin Van Peebles, a Maverick filmmaker.
He ventured into acting and directing after he bagged his degree in Economics at the University of Columbia. But first, he worked at New York's Department of Environmental Protection.
Having learned from his dad, it appears typical for his offspring to tow the same line as he did. He is a dad to five kids, Makaylo, Marley, Mandela, Morgana, and Maya Van Peebles, whom he shares with his wife, Chitra Sukhu Van Peebles. Two of his kids, Morgana and son, Mandela, are also involved in Hollywood.
