John Travolta's daughter, Ella, has mourned the tragic passing of her mother, who died of breast cancer, with a touching social media tribute.

When John Travolta’s wife, Kelly Preston, passed on at age 57, her daughter, Ella Beau Travolta, was beyond shocked and hurt.

The 20-year-old took to her Instagram page to post a picture of Kelly along with the words, “Thank you for your love. Thank you for your help and thank you for making this world a better place.”

This wouldn’t be the first tragedy that the Travolta family would be dealing with as they lost one of their children, Jett Travolta, back in 2009.

It didn’t take long before her comment section got filled with condolence messages with one person stating “sending lots of love and prayer to your family.” A representative for the family previously told People that Kelly died of breast cancer.

According to the source, the late 57-year-old chose to “keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends.”

Metro UK noted that amid the reports of her death, several celebrities such as Josh Gad also dropped some kind messages to the family. While Josh wrote that he was sad to learn about Kelly’s passing, Perez Hilton claimed that he was at a “loss for words.”

According to Daily Mail, John confirmed the news of his wife’s death by explaining that she had fought “a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.”

The “Welcome Back” star used the post to also show his appreciation to the medical team that looked after his late wife during her battle with cancer.
