Stephanie Mills Shows Some Love to Son Farad Whom She Calls Her Baby in an Adorable Photo
R&B diva Stephanie Mills and her special needs son Farad cuddle up and pose together for a sweet photo on Instagram. The mother-and-son duo looks so precious!
Stephanie Mills and her son Farad looked adorable beyond words when they are together. In an Instagram post, the singer treated her fans with a photo of herself and her son.
"Just for the love of it! Me and my baby," Mills lovingly captioned the photo that featured the mother-and-son duo hugging each other as they smiled for the camera.
A PRECIOUS BOND
A few months ago, Mills celebrated her son's 19th birthday. Farad, who has down syndrome, was born to his famous mother when she was 45 years old.
Mills' career as a singer and an actress took off when she was merely 9 years old in the Broadway show "Maggie Flynn."
On her son's birthday, the proud mother gushed about him and shared that he is the greatest gift that she has ever been given in an Instagram post. She wrote:
"They questioned how I was gonna balance my career, and raising a special needs child. Having my child saved my life!"
Despite what the naysayers had to say, Mills went on to successfully raise her child, all while navigating through her career like a champ.
STEPHANIE'S CAREER
Mills' career as a singer and an actress took off when she was merely 9 years old in the Broadway show "Maggie Flynn." She then rose to fame with her role as Dorothy in "The Wiz."
Mills returned to the role several times and even returned in "The Wiz Live!" as Auntie Em in 2015. After her stint in "The Wiz," she established herself as a successful R&B singer during the 1980s.
In merely a decade, the singer scored five number one hits and bagged a Grammy in the Best Female R&B Vocal Performance category for her song "Never Knew Love Like This Before."

The singer also dated the late King of Pop Michael Jackson once. They went out for about a year and a half and she remembers Jackson as a sweet and compassionate person.
Mills is pretty defensive when it comes to Jackson. She once criticized singer Sam Smith for saying that he was not a fan of the King of Pop.
