In a recent interview with Extra, Jackman, 51, shared the silver lining of the COVID-19 pandemic, saying being under lockdown has brought him and Furness, 64, closer. The couple, who tied the knot in 1996, are doting parents to two children - Oscar, 20, and Ava, 15.

"Having this time without either of us working, being with the family," the actor said. "We've had this opportunity to be together, and the results are in: closer."

In March, Jackman revealed to PEOPLE that he and his wife are certain they would make time for each other. He also said that they always learn something from one another.

The actor also said that although they have been together for 25 years, you have got to reset all the time. He added:

Jackman does care a ton about his career, yet his wife, Furness, and their children, Oscar and Ava, are still his top priority.

The actor experienced fatherhood for the first time when the couple adopted Oscar, following his birth in 2000. Five years later, Jackman and Furness expanded their family with the adoption of Ava.

The actor previously said that he knew within two weeks they would be together for the rest of their lives.

Furness had suffered two miscarriages, so the couple decided to just adopt. In spite of the fact that Jackman and Furness were never able to conceive, the actor knew it was complete destiny the moment he turned into the father of Oscar and Ava.

Jackman first met Furness in 1995 while on the set of "Corelli," an Australian television series. The actor previously said that he knew within two weeks they would be together for the rest of their lives.

Jackman regularly applauds his wife in interviews. In 2018, he said he was fortunate that he met Furness before he became successful as an actor.

The actor shared: "So we've been on this unbelievable journey, places we never thought we'd go to and we've done it together."

On July 28, Jackman received his Emmy nomination for his spectacular performance in the HBO's television movie "Bad Education."

Recently, he posted throwback photos from the smash-hit musical, "The Greatest Showman," which will be coming to Disney+ in the U.S. on August 14.
