Jennifer Garner and John Miller Reportedly Break up after 2 Years of Dating – What Happened?

According to reports, actress Jennifer Garner is officially single as she and boyfriend John Miller decided to split on "very amicable terms."

Breakup rumors started swirling earlier this week when TMZ posted pictures of Jennifer Garner having a fun-filled day at the beach - not with John Miller, but with Bradley Cooper.

Garner and Cooper have been friends for years, and his daughter, Lea De Seine, whom he shares with his now ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk, joined them for a sunkissed day of beach relaxation.

For Garner, its the end of an almost two-year relationship with John Miller. The couple shared their dating status in October 2018, after allegedly already having "been together six months."

AN AMICABLE SPLIT

Even though news of their separation got confirmed by various outlets, some sources say their relationship had been over for months. Speaking with ET, a source reportedly said:

"Jen and John called it quits several months ago. They've remained friends. They just started seeing less and less of each other."

WHAT CAUSED THE BREAKUP?

When it comes to what went wrong between the pair, who parted ways on good terms, they had simply grown apart as a couple. Miller wanted to take the next step and marry, but Garner didn't share the sentiment.

The 48-year-old actress went public with her relationship with Miller weeks after she finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck.

HER PREVIOUS MARRIAGE EXPERIENCE

Garner and Affleck split in 2015 after ten years of marriage, and the actor largely blamed his struggles with substance abuse for the demise of his marriage. During an interview, Affleck opened up about the negative impact addiction had in his life and said:

“What happened was that I started drinking more and more when my marriage was falling apart. This was 2015, 2016.”

Affleck and Garner share three children, with Samuel being the youngest aged 8, followed by 11-year-old Seraphina, and 14-year-old Violet.

They met while co-starring in their upcoming film "Deep Water," and have even gone on vacation together to Cuba.
