People: Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Son Archie Is Enjoying the New House with a Playground

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan recently acquired their first home together in Santa Barbara. According to a source, the home is perfect for their son, Archie.

In July 2020, Prince Harry, 35, and his wife, Duchess Meghan, 39, finally bought themselves a home in the US. The Santa Barbara house allegedly cost the couple $14 million.

The property has one special feature for their son, Archie, 1, which is a play area. A source who opened up to “People” magazine revealed how “really happy” the toddler was now that he had some “space to run free."

ARCHIE’S PLAY AREA

The play area had a structure that Archie would be able to climb when he was old enough. Speaking about the boy’s parents, the informant revealed how the couple was excited to be in their new home and couldn’t wait to integrate themselves into the Montecito community.

The source explained how this was a happy time for the family. The reason why Harry and Meghan chose the area is that they want to give their son a normal life.

A SMALLER NEIGHBORHOOD

Another insider, who is close to the couple, also shared how the royals wanted a smaller neighborhood with a much slower pace. The source described Montecito as mellow, charming, and exactly what the pair was looking for.

A PEACEFUL PLACE

Harry and Meghan allegedly felt the home was a place they would find peace. It also gave them the opportunity to build the Archewell Foundation.

Before moving into their new and permanent home, the royal family was living at Tyler Perry's Los Angeles estate. They ended up moving to the US after staying in Vancouver, Canada for a short period.

The couple famously stepped down in January 2020 as senior working members of the Royal Family. According to “Hello!” magazine, the couple’s new neighborhood is well-known for its secluded and private hillside estates.
