Their feud is rooted in Joan's trust fund, which Stan and his late wife had set for their daughter, knowing she had financial challenges. A document read:
"It is not uncommon for J.C. [Joan] to charge, in any given month, $20,000 to $40,000 on credit cards, sometimes more."
The statement also revealed that Joan often "yells and screams at [Stan] and cries hysterically if [he does] not capitulate." She was verbally abusive. Previously, Joan demanded transfer of properties to her name, among other trust-related changes, which Stan refused to adhere to.

Of course, Joan did not like her father's dispute as it intensified her greatest fear: being homeless and without money after Stan died. In part, Stan blames his daughter's influencers who formed relationships with Joan to take advantage of his wealth.
However, Stan later significantly changed his life, suddenly having Joan's influencers by his side and making decisions with him. One of them filmed Stan saying the document details were "totally incorrect, inaccurate, misleading, and insulting."
In his last years, Lee was no longer as active in the industry, with only cameos in the Marvel films. However, his legacy remains in the "Avengers" film franchise, starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and many more.
