Jameela Jamil Denies Rumors That She and Meghan Markle Are Best Friends
Jameela Jamil shut down the “increasingly ridiculous stories” that she is spending time with her best friend, Meghan Markle, in Santa Barbara.
Jameela Jamil is known for being outspoken and being among the woke Twitter users. Recently, she slammed a British tabloid that made false claims against her.
“The Good Palace” star poured her sentiments online about rumors of her being best friends with Meghan Markle.

DENYING THE RUMORS
Among the articles with false claims was a local British news outlet, claiming Jamil was in quarantine with Markle in Santa Barbara, California, where she now lives with her family.
The actress explained that she went to Santa Barbara for a vacation with her boyfriend and saw “articles with increasingly ridiculous stories, none of which are consistent, none of which make sense.”
Jamil explained that she only met Markle once in her life, yet tabloids are already using her to destroy the former “Suits” star. “They bully and harass her for clicks, to feed Britain’s already sturdy xenophobia,” she said.
DEFENDING MARKLE
In another post, Jamil sarcastically took on Markle and Prince Harry’s side about the Netflix deal they recently signed, asking how people will keep up with the lie that the royal couple uses British tax to live.
The deal is between Netflix and the royals’ recently founded production company, to create documentaries, shows, and children’s entertainment.
The royal couple stepped down as senior members of the British monarch last March and have since been living independently.
MEETING MARKLE
Jamil first met Markle in 2019 as she stood as the duchess’ 15 Forces For Change in the September Vogue issues.
News about them seeing each other again surfaced when a source said Jamil and her beau drove to Montecito to bond with the royal couple.
Jamil and her boyfriend, James Blake, were photographed walking on the beach in Montecito without Markle and Harry, but a close distance from their home.

THE ROYAL NETFLIX DEAL
After their controversial exit from the royal family, Markle and Harry revealed that they are entering Hollywood and signed a multi-year Netflix production deal.
The deal is between Netflix and the royals’ recently founded production company, to create documentaries, shows, and children’s entertainment.
