Martin Lawrence's Ex Praises Their Daughter Jasmine for Following Her Dreams in a Sweet Post

Martin Lawrence's ex-wife, Patricia Smith could not hold back as she experienced proud mommy moments after her grown daughter, Jasmine attained a career milestone.

Patricia Smith was all over her grown daughter, Jasmine Lawrence in a recent post on Instagram. The star mom did not hold back on her pride as she flaunted Jasmine's latest achievement as a co-host on a notable event.

On her Instagram page, Smith shared several snapshots showing sweet moments with her look-like daughter, including one with ex-husband Martin Lawrence as they embraced their baby girl.

Alongside the heartwarming photos was a sweet message from the proud mom about how her daughter pursued her dream. The lengthy caption began:

"I woke up super excited this morning knowing that I would be cohosting the Notable to Notable event [...] with my oldest baby girl @jasmin_lawrence..."

The 1993 Miss Virginia recalled when her daughter was a toddler and always wanted to be an actress. Jasmine was advised to face education first and now she is a graduate of Duke University.

When it comes to parenting, [Martin Lawrence] goes out of his way for his girls.

The excited mom added that the young adult was presently pursuing her showbiz dreams. She concluded with a declaration of her love while letting Jasmine know that she was proud of her.

Jasmine is the daughter of comedy icon Martin Lawrence whom he had in 1995 with Smith. Although Lawrence and Smith called it quits in 1997, the duo maintained a cordial relationship and a suitable co-parenting style.

Lawrence would later tie the knot with his second wife, Shamicka Gibbs, with whom he has two more daughters, Amara and Iyanna.

When it comes to parenting, the "Big Momma" actor goes out of his way for his girls. However, he also knows when to keep them on the right track. The comic star once shared that he usually makes them realize how lucky they are. The star dad who is proud of his brood said about Jasmine:

"...My oldest is 15, and she's a straight-A student. She is very smart…"

Last year, during the 28th Annual Bounce Trumpet Awards, the 54-year-old actor was honored with a Luminary Trophy. Lawrence was gracefully accompanied by his oldest daughter and fiancee, Roberta Moradfar.

Jasmine flaunted her curves in a bright-colored dress while rocking black strappy heels and a high ponytail while Mordafar rocked a hot black number which matched her spouse's dapper tuxedo.
