Meet NBA Star Joel Embiid's Girlfriend & Swimsuit Model Anne de Paula

Basketball and Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is in a relationship with Anne De Paula, a swimsuit model. She has drawn the player's fans' curiosity since it was revealed that they were an item.

Joel Embiid is a star on the basketball court and remains one of the NBA's best players. Fans love the passion he brings to his game whether in victory or defeat.

Off the court, Embiid, a Cameroonian native, is a charming personality and is in a relationship with Anne De Paula, a swimsuit model. Since their relationship was revealed in 2018, many fans have wondered about her.

Embiid sometimes shares pictures of himself and De Paula on his Instagram page. On June 28, 2019, he shared photos of them relaxing and then sharing a passionate kiss during a vacation.

The pictures were taken during their trip to China in the offseason. The lovely couple posed in front of the Great Wall of China. Embiid captioned the post:

On Valentine's Day in 2019, Embiid took to his Instagram page to pay tribute to De Paula. He shared three pictures of them. The first showed them in his house, clad in white hoodies with "Lovers" written on the sleeves.

The second photo was a closeup snap of De Paula, showing her long brown hair, while the third picture showed the lovebirds kissing in front of Paris's Eiffel Tower.

The painful loss left Embiid in tears and as he walked off the court, De Paula met him along the way and gave him her shoulder to cry on.

In the caption to the post, Embiid wished De Paula a happy Valentine's Day, thanking her for coping with his African heritage and allowing him to be himself. The NBA player noted that he had trusted her process while she also trusted his which has brought them to where they are.

De Paula was born on March 31, 1995, in the Brazilian capital, Rio de Janeiro. She earned a global following after a video showed her consoling Embiid following his team's loss to the Toronto Raptors in Game 7 of the 2019 NBA Playoffs.

The painful loss left Embiid in tears and as he walked off the court, De Paula met him along the way and gave him her shoulder to cry on. The video generated many reactions and sparked an interest in De Paula.

The swimsuit model has some fame attached to her name as she was crowned the winner of the Sports Illustrated model search in 2017, earning a spot in the magazine's annual swimsuit issue.

Some believed De Paula and Embiid could be engaged because of the ring seen on her right hand in one of Embiid's social media picture posts.

However, De Paula is not new to wearing rings on her engagement finger as she has done so many times in the past. Hence, it is either Embiid has proposed to her long before now or she just loves to wear rings on her finger. Whatever the case is, time will tell.
