Eva Mendes & Ryan Gosling Are Proud Parents of 2 Gorgeous Daughters — Meet Esmeralda & Amada

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling's love story began when they met on the set of a movie in 2011. Fast forward to today, they are proud parents to two beautiful daughters - Esmeralda and Amada.

Acclaimed actress Eva Mendes said at a Create & Cultivate event in February 2020 that being around her daughters makes her feel like she has done everything right.

ESMERALDA GOSLING

Mendes gave birth to their eldest daughter, Esmeralda, on September 12, 2014. In an interview, the "2 Fast 2 Furious" actress said she admires how creative Esmeralda is.

"My 5-year-old cut her socks, the foot part off, and she likes to wear socks as sleeves," said Mendes, who was 40 years old when she gave birth to Esmeralda.

Mendes added that her eldest daughter would turn underwear into a hat and that she could not help but be amazed by Esmeralda's creativity. The actress said she wishes she could do that as well.

AMADA GOSLING

On April 29, 2016, Mendes and Gosling welcomed their second daughter, Amada, into their lives. At a very young age, the couple's little girl is already learning how to play the piano.

The proud mother showed off Amada's skills in March when she uploaded on social media a charming clip of herself playing music on a record player.

In her video's caption, Mendes said that she was trying to keep things light at home with Esmeralda and Amada. She added: "Nothing like some old Cuban music to do the trick. And yes, that's my 3-year-old on the piano."

Mendes and Gosling first met on the set of the popular crime drama film, "The Place Beyond the Pines," in which they both starred. In 2011, the pair started dating.

During her pregnancy with Esmeralda, Mendes kept a low profile. At the time, she made her last red carpet appearance at a Violet Grey dinner in February 2014.

Eventually, the news broke about her pregnancy. Mendes, whose performance in "Training Day" (2001) marked a turning point in her career, then went to considerable lengths just to cover up her baby bump.

The "We Own the Night" actress was spotted covering her baby bump with several pieces of clothing and a large bag while leaving a parking structure in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, in 2013, Mendes launched her own fashion line called Eva by Eva Mendes with New York & Co. The actress is also the creative director of makeup brand CIRCA Beauty.
