Tennis Champion Naomi Osaka & Little Sister Mari Proudly Show Their Family in This Sweet Photo
Naomi Osaka is currently atop the tennis world and she is currently taking some time off after winning her third Grand Slam title. This week, her sister gave fans a bit of a glimpse into their family.
On Monday, Mari Osaka, the sister to three-time Grand Slam title winner Naomi Osaka, shared an Instagram picture showing their family’s holiday relaxation.
The Instagram photo featured Naomi and Mari at home with two unknown women as they smiled for the camera. Mari looked stylish in high-heeled slippers and a crop top with baggy pants.
Mari, who also plays tennis, let her hair out in an afro similar to Naomi's. However, the tennis champion opted for a streetwear look that included a sweater with Tupac Shakur’s face on it.
She finished off her look with a pair of black shorts and white sneakers. The women appeared to have been enjoying some time at home. Captioning the picture, Mari said:
"The vibes in my family are immaculate ?."
While the other two women could have been extended family members, neither was Naomi’s mother, Tamaki Osaka. Her father, Leonard Francois is also not seen in the picture. Perhaps one of the parents helped take the snap.
Naomi managed to solidify her reputation with a third Grand Slam win last weekend
As Mari explained, the Osaka family does seem to have a lot of good vibes around them. For one, they’ve always supported each other.
When Naomi beat Serena Williams in 2018 for her first Grand Slam title, fans remember the moment where she rushed into her mother’s arms. The embrace between the two of them was pretty beautiful.
Since then, Naomi has enjoyed nothing but support from her family. Mari penned a lovely letter to her sister in June, explaining that she was proud of everything she was doing.
The letter contained tributes to the pair’s upbringing, with Mari reminiscing on playing with her sister while they were much younger. Now, Naomi is on top of the world.
Naomi managed to solidify her reputation with a third Grand Slam win last weekend. She beat Belarusian tennis veteran Victoria Azarenka at the U.S. Open on Saturday.
While Azarenka had won the first set of the match, Naomi didn’t give up. She managed to rally in the second set and she took home the tiebreaker in a truly thrilling game.

The title makes it three Grand Slams for Naomi. While she has a long way to go to hit the Grand Slam record, she’s still 22. So, there’s a lot of time left.
