'Family Matters' Star Jaleel White Shares Photo with His Daughter Samaya Showing Her Long Hair
Father-daughter-duo Jaleel and Samaya White posed for a “creepy” photo on Instagram and fans love it: “You both are so cute!”
Jaleel White, who is most known for his role as Steve Urkel on the hit ‘90s sitcom “Family Matters,” is a proud girl dad to his mini-me, Samaya. The duo often shares their fun and sweet moments online, including a recent Halloween photo.
The actor posted a picture with his daughter, posing with their hands crept up in front of them before a bunch of skeletons holding candles in the dark. “Boy did I ever luck out when this creepy crawler entered my life,” the caption read.
White and Samaya both had big smiles on their faces as the photo was captured, making it look like a sweet father and daughter moment. The “Total Blackout” star’s post is only one among the many times he shared a glimpse of his fatherhood journey with Samaya.
The two often pose for snaps while sharing a snack, going to events, or taking a stroll along the coastline. In one of his more recent photos, the dynamic duo took a snap sharing a big slice of pizza and camping out.
Samaya has been the actor’s source of inspiration and motivation in his career. In one interview, he admitted that he tries to “instill a work ethic” in his daughter by setting a good example of being hard at work.

White has been in the entertainment industry for decades, launching his career as a guest star on “Family Matters” at the age of 12. However, his appearance instantly increased ratings, making the producers cast him as an original.
After the show ended, the actor furthered his professional career by obtaining a degree in the arts from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has since appeared in several films, television shows, and animations, where he voiced over characters.

While some may say his character in “Family Matters” drove him to success, becoming a successful actor was destined for the star. White was initially set to take a lead role on “The Cosby Show” which could have brought him stardom as well.
However, fate decided that he would play one of the most remembered little black boys on television. Earlier this year, a young boy paid tribute to the character Steve Urkel for Black History Month in school.

The little boy’s parents were huge fans of “Family Matters,” hence their decision to dress their son as White’s character. As soon as the actor caught sight of the photo, he posted it on his own Instagram account.
“When Gen Z kids look me up,” he captioned the post, alongside a young boy standing beside cardboard with White’s photos on the show and his famous catchphrase, “Did I do that?”
