ET Online: Demi Lovato Feels Max Ehrich Wasn't Being Truthful after Engagement, a Source Said

The sweet romance between Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich came to an end as sudden as its beginning. There seems to be some confusion as to the reason for the breakup.

Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich started dating in March, which was quite surprising as she had just ended a fling with Austin Wilson.

The couple moved in together two weeks after they started dating and quarantined together in their Los Angeles home.

The couple seemed happy as several Instagram posts of public displays of affection and were shared with the public from various sources.

In July, the duo got engaged in a surprise proposal by Ehrich on a Malibu beach with a stunning Peter Marco diamond ring.

The 29-year-old also promised forever in his engagement post as he claimed that he loved her, and she was everything he needed in a partner and more.

The 28-year-old was excited about the prospect of spending her life and building a family with the "Young and Restless" actor as she shared the news with her fans on Instagram.

Her excitement seemed to vanish as she called off the engagement a couple of days ago. The Disney alum hasn't come forward to announce this or offer any explanation as her only post showed her in a shirt that said dogs were better than people while her ring was nowhere to be found.

Enrich has, however, made a couple of statements; the first of which was that he found out about the break up on social media as he was away on a filming set.

He also made other posts claiming he had not been able to reach her, that he was wondering if she was fine, and finally that he was closing up a chapter of his life and moving on.

Sources have pointed at the distance between the couple as the reason for the breakup as Ehrich was shooting in Atlanta while Lovato was in L.A. It was added that he had been informed of the break up before it was made public.

It was also reported that the singer ended things because the actor had been dishonest about some things and she didn't want anything to disturb her mind space.

This might have a lot to do with her mental health and addiction issues as she almost died due to a drug overdose in 2018.
