Kate Middleton Steps in for the Queen at Buckingham Palace in an Elegant Belted Blue Dress
Sporting events and economic activities have resumed globally, and so has royal activities at Buckingham Palace. Prince William and Kate Middleton, on Wednesday the 7th of October, hosted their first official meeting at the palace since the lockdown.
Although the meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine and First Lady Olena Zelenska must have been political, what seems to have sent tongues wagging is the gorgeous blue dress which the Duchess of Cambridge donned to the meeting.

The blue belted dress was designed by Emilia Wickstead, one of Middleton's go-to designers. The Duchess looked simple but elegant with her hair down in a blow-dry style while completing her outfit with a simple nude footwear.
The royals and their visitors all wore a warm smile as they sat opposite each other and observed the mandatory social distancing throughout the function, although without a face mask. The picture was shared on the official Twitter page of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge alongside the post which read:
"Today The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge held an audience with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine and First Lady Olena Zelenska, at Buckingham Palace."
This meeting is reported to be one of the official events the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have undertook both virtually and physically since the end of their summer break.
One was when the Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to students of The University of Derby to find out more about the impact of COVID-19 on their mental health and education.
One thing Middleton inherited as a trait from Princess Diana asides her generous heart, would be her great taste for lovely jewelry.
The 38-year-old Duchess, who has been a member of the royal family since 2011 following her marriage to Prince William, is touted as the likely future queen consort after her husband ascends the throne. Being in a position as hers will undoubtedly draw comparisons with the famous Princess of Wales, Princess Diana, the mother of Prince William, who tragically died in 1997.
One of the recent comparisons between the duo was aroused after Middleton was said to have worn a blue dress that was reminiscent of the one Princess Diana wore in 1985. She did look beautiful in the piece!
The mother of three was said to have spotted a navy dress patterned with floral motifs in different shades of blue, and featured a white collar and cuffs. Princess Diana reportedly wore a similar dress for a photo shoot in 1985.

Prince William reportedly gifted Middleton his mother's engagement ring, and it is described as one of Middleton's most prized possessions from her impressive collection. Since their marriage in 2011, Middleton and William have been valuable members of the royal family, engaging in charitable events while raising their three children in the way of love and royalty.
