Welterweight boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard and his wife Bernadette celebrated their son Daniel's birthday with a walk down memory lane. The couple took to Instagram to share the sweetest birthday messages along with some precious throwback snaps.

In his post, Leonard wished Daniel a happy birthday and shared a photo of his younger self with him. Showing off his ripped body in a tank top, the boxing ace lovingly held his baby in his arms.

Leonard cannot believe how two decades went by so fast. He wants his now 20-year-old son to keep pursuing his dreams. After expressing how much he loves Daniel, the doting father ended the touching caption.

Meanwhile, Bernadette took to her personal account to pen a lengthy note dedicated to Daniel along with a treasure trove of throwback photos. She said she is proud of him and let him know that he is loved.

Bernadette is truly grateful to have Daniel as her son. According to her, the 20-year-old keeps them on their toes but she signed up for the journey full-time and loves him unconditionally.

All of the photos she shared were cute, but the third one was even more heart-melting because it featured Leonard and Daniel posing alongside her. Little Daniel seemed to have sauce on his face as his mother held him from one side and his father held his small hand from the other.

Judging by how Bernadette gushed about how proud they are of his passion for music in her caption, it seems like Daniel is on his path to bring out his musical talents. His first Instagram post from 2018 also suggests the same.

Talking about cakes and sweetness, Leonard is not a big fan of sugary treats. The Olympic gold winner has dedicated his post-boxing life towards fighting diabetes, a disease that plagued his late father's life.

Putting his fame and contacts to good use, Leonard started a foundation called the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation to help children fight the chronic disease with diet, fitness, and weight management.

Bernadette supports her husband in his noble mission. They have also donated essential funds to help some fitness programs designed for families to maintain healthy routines.

When he is not busy with charity work and other work-related things, Leonard likes to hit the gym to stay fit and active. He often shares videos of himself sweating it out in his Instagram.
